Because design isn't just about what you create, but how you create it.

Cultural Research for an Indian Cafe Brand

How can coffee shops become authentic third spaces for a neighbourhood rather than extractive spaces?

My role helped inform the codes for spatial design through design workshops and an ethnographic study of third spaces & beverage culture.

 Journey So Far..

Few things make me happier than being in public spaces, meandering through neighbourhoods, and following the scent trail of street food. From Abu Dhabi to Chennai to Bengaluru to NYC, and now to Warsaw, I am grateful to have experienced diverse design cultures. This personal journey constantly pushes me to evolve the way I think about my role as a creative.

The phrase "be like water" summarises my journey. Over the last 12 years, I've adapted to different roles and fields, from brand research to education to civic tech and social design. I thrive on projects that call for systems thinking, experimentation, and tackling wicked problems. As a public space advocate, facilitating change on the ground gives me the most satisfaction.

I hold a bachelor's degree in architecture from the School of Architecture, Meenakshi College, Chennai and a Master's in Urban Placemaking and Management from Pratt Institute, NYC.

In an alternate universe, I'd probably be a musician, an explorer or a stand-up comedian.
